In Malaysia, sustainable agricultural practices are still new and are not being practiced seriously. Farmers in Cameron Highlands can be classified as non-sustainable based on the measure of the level of sustainability used in this study. Only a few farmers practiced sustainable agricultural. The result shows that no characteristics were found to be a significant determinant of the adoption decision. All the characteristics identified in this study did not have significant relationship with the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices. Many of the farmers were concerned with their income. If the sustainable agricultural system will reduce their income, they will not adopt it. This is a research on sustainable agricultural system in Cameron Highlands is able to measure the level of sustainability of the agricultural system in Malaysia. Knowledge of the factors affecting the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices and farmers income is useful for development of policy and strategies for the promotion of sustainable agricultural system in agricultural sector in Malaysia.
