AB  - Oil palm is an important crop in Malaysia, contributing significantly to the country’s economy. At the pre-nursery stage, oil palm seedlings are frequently subjected to mortality and abnormal growth. Fertilization and application of arbuscular mycorrhiza have potential to improve oil palm seedling growth and decrease mortality. This study is to assess influence of fertilizer and arbuscular mycorrhiza on growth of oil palm seedlings. The fertilizer application increased biomass production of oil palm seedlings while inoculation with mycorrhiza had little effect on growth, biomass and physiological traits of oil palm seedlings. Longer observation period might be needed to observe treatment effect.
