Merrill) cultivars were germinated after stored with or without drying at 30 celcius following accelerated aging in high moisture level (approx. 100 RH) at 40 celcius for 0,12,36,48, 60 and 72 hr periods. Germination of seeds of both cultivars decreased sharply after 48 hr of accelerated aging periods had the greatest effect on speed of germination. The beneficial effect of these short periods of accelerated aging on germination performance of soybean seeds were brief and dissipated or became negative when the aged seeds were stored for any appreciable period.
