AB  - A Local Verification Trial on crop rotation was conducted on peat soil at three locations in Batu Pahat district (Peninsular Malaysia). Four vegetable types namely tomato, cabbage, long bean and cucumber were planted sequentially on different sub-plots for four seasons. The average return per dollar (Malaysian Ringgit) invested for the four planting seasons was $1.96. The trial showed that sequential planting system could reduce risks of disease infection, insect destruction and price drop in the market and finally allow farmers to plan production of vegetables
