AB  - Induced breeding using pituitary gland extract and human gonadotropin (HCG) was conducted on Catla (Catla catla). Injections of a combination of pituitary gland extract and HCG on female Catla breeders resulted in a high percetage of spawning success. Aspects of reproductive biology such as age and weight at first sexual maturity. Spawning season, gonadosomatic index and fecundity are briefly discussed.
