Opis
Streszczenie:Fourteen tomato genotypes obtained from the Asian Vegetable Research and Development Center (AVRDC), India and Nepal were screened for their reactions to a local isolate of Pseudomonas solanacearum in the greenhouse by artificial inoculation. Of the 14 genotypes tested, four genotypes were rated susceptible; six moderately susceptible; three moderately resistant and one resistant. The resistant genotype Rampur Small had longer incubating period (9 days) than the susceptible genotypes (3 - 5 days). Similarly, the resistant genotype took more days to produce 10 percent wilted plants (23 days) than the susceptible genotypes (5 - 12 days). Rampur Small could be a possible source of resistance to bacterial wilt in this region of Nepal
