Optical properties of (ZnO) x (CaO) 0.3-x (P2O5)0.7 glasses /

The zinc calcium phosphate glasses, (ZnO) x (CaO) 0.3 - X=x (P2O5) 0.7 with mole fraction X = 0.01, 0.03, 0.05, 0.07, 0.09 were prepared and studied to determine the optical properties and thermal properties. Optical properties and thermal properties. Optical properties were determined used UV-Visi...

Optical properties and thermal properties. Optical properties were determined used UV-Visible Spectrophotometer (Camspec M350). The optical band gap decreased with the increased of Zn contains. The energy band gap increased with the increased of Zn contains. The thermal properties were determined used closed photoacoustic cell technique (CPC). The glasses absorbed light energy from a He-Ne laser and caused heat flow. Acoustic signal from a sample was detected by detector (microphone).
