This methodology is a qualitative evaluation system by comparing the characteristics of the soil and the requirements of the crop. Land characteristic data such as climate, topography, drainage, soil physical characteristic and soil fertility were collected. Then, the crop essential requirements for growth would be sorted of info limitation degrees of very serious, serious, moderate and no limitation. A total of 20 soil series were selected in which its profile description would be analyzed to get the data and later compared to crop requirements. Soil suitability classification according to FAO framework (1976) which has 3 classes of Suitable (S) Order and 2 classes of Not Suitable (N) Order were used in these studies. Suitability classification showed that Nobusu Series, Stass Series and Tarat Series were moderately suitable for Guava cultivation. The Batu Anam Series was currently not suitable for Guava under natural condition. While others series showed that they were marginally suitable for Guava and needed a specific management.
