There are some indications that the prevalence of food allergy is increasing over the globe for the past few decades. Aim: To determine the knowledge association with attitude and beliefs on food allergy among medical students of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Methodology: A cross sectional study was conducted using self-administered questionnaires among medical students in Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Universiti Putra Malaysia, Selangor. Respondents included all medical students at Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of UPM and excluded all medical students who do not give consents or complete the questionnaire. Data was analyzed using SPSS statistics version 22.0 for windows. Results: The response rate was 85% where most of the respondents were Malays, females, age ranges from 19-25 years and have a family income of RM6000 - RM15000 annually. Most of the respondents also have known relatives with food allergy but they do not have prior training on food allergy. Majority of the respondents have unfavorable beliefs regarding food allergy, as for the attitude there was no relationship can be shown in this study. There are associations between independent variables (age, level of study and prior training) with the level of knowledge regarding food allergy (p<0.05). Conclusion: Majority of the medical students have low level of knowledge regarding food allergy. Commendation: There is a need to improve the continuous education among medical students regarding food allergy. Key words: food allergy. level of knowledge, medical students
