The reported number of dengue cases in Malaysia rose each year, from 7,103 cases in 2000 to 49,335 in 2008, an increase of nearly 7 times (Ministry of Health, Malaysia, 2010). According to that, dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) remains a public health problem because of a lack of knowledge and understanding (Kittigul, et. al., 2003). General Objective: This study is aimed to evaluate the level of knowledge, attitude and practice among students regarding dengue fever. Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted using a self-administered questionnaire. Respondents were selected using a stratified random sampling method. Data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20.0. Descriptive analysis were generated to describe the data. Chi square test was used to determine the association between the dependent variable and independent variables. A p≤0.05 will be considered as statistically significant. Result: A total of 329 respondents had participated in the study. The majority were Malays (79.0%), more than half of respondents were 22-24 years old (59.0%). The main source of information on dengue were from the television (14.2%). Findings indicated respondents have high knowledge about dengue fever (85.1 %), had positive attitude and over half (63.5%) were practices of Aedes control measures. There was significant association between attitude and practice (p=0.01). Knowledge was associated with ages, course of program and year of study; attitude was associated with ages, race, course of program and year of study while practices was associated with race and course of program. Conclusion: The findings from this study give benefit for the baseline data to provide further intervention of related organizations and could assist further on future research about dengue prevention.
