Description
Summary:About 12 fruit kinds were heavily attacked by fruit flies. This pest could decrease 30% yield of Guava in average with its appearance in June-July. On Mango, fruit flies attacked seriously in April-May. Using Methyl eugenol traps has revealed the efficiency to control it. Average population of fruit flies were recorded as BOO-1000/trap/week. The majority of fruit flies species in Vietnam are identified as Dacus dorsalis and Dacus cucurbitae. We also recorded other four species of fruit flies that need to be identified later.
