الملخص: | Two non-conventional energy sources for padi drying are described. They comprise energy generated from solar radiation and burnt rice husk. The main components of the drying systems were solar energy absorber and rice husk furnace. These components were fabricated and tested. The efficiency of the systems to generate heat were 63-70 percent and 43-46 percent respectively. Heated air produced for drying was at 45-53 degrees C. |
